Steve Levitan, a TV content developer, accepted an offer on his Malibu beach house, which he’d placed up for sale or rent for the past few years. The property was sold for $14.174 million. Last year, Levitan listed it for $15.995 million, and two years prior, he offered it as a rental for $60K per month. When it was sold, he had owned it for nearly two decades.
The house is a behemoth, with living quarters spanning six stories and totaling 8,072 square feet. The house has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, including a 1,400-square-foot three-room master suite with a terrace, gym, ‘fireplace retreat,’ and spa-inspired bathroom, as well as three independent guest suites.
The house was built in 1995, and it shows—as a postmodern statement, it has the beachfront eccentricity of an elder Hamptons shingle-style, with the whimsical colors and industrial and modern influences of its day. The great room is pure successful-executive Malibu Broad Beach-front one-upmanship, exemplified by the 2,500 sq. ft. great room.
