Celebrity Home Galleries // Mickey Drexler, the former CEO of J.Crew, has listed his elegant Manhattan townhouse for $29.9M

In the middle of the last decade, Mickey Drexler, the king of casual fashion, put a pair of expensive New York apartments on the market. A 6,226-square-foot condo in the Walton, a boutique building built in 1887 and refurbished in 2000, was listed for $35 million in 2015. It was one of 14 condos in the boutique building. The second property, a brownstone a few streets southeast of the first, cost $30 million when it was completed in 2016.

Drexler’s Walton condo was eventually sold for $18.5 million in 2018, according to public records. The brownstone, on the other hand, has yet to find a new owner. As a result, it was re-listed this fall at a decreased asking price of $28 million. The house, which has seven bedrooms and at least six baths and has six floors and 9,000 square feet, has seven bedrooms and at least six baths.

The residence is 22 feet wide and has ceilings that are over 13 feet high; one of the property’s best features is the sense of space it gives off. Other features include an elevator, two kitchenettes, a rooftop patio, a garden, and a parlor level with a wet bar and a library. There are six fireplaces with original marble mantels, as well as mahogany cabinetry, arched windows with mahogany frames, pocketing doors, and a central staircase. Radiant heating has been installed on the flooring.
