Celebrity Home Galleries // Mike Shanahan, the former head coach of the Denver Broncos, has sold his opulent Denver home for a record $15.7 million

Shanahan had been trying to sell the estate for five years when it closed late last month, according to public records, with listings dating back to 2016. The asking prices reached as high as $22 million along the way.

The home’s 32,254 square feet are spread out over a single level, giving it a very large footprint. It has six bedrooms and thirteen baths; the lack of sleeping quarters suggests that the house was built for an entertainment- and amenity-oriented lifestyle, which is confirmed by a look inside.

The interiors of the house are ornate, with columns, conceptual ceilings, molded plaster, wrought iron, hardwood paneling, and stone tile floors, to name a few. The second level has a black brick herringbone floor and a center landing with black tile risers for the staircase; the room is lightened by warm neutrals and plenty of natural light from multi-pane bay windows.

A lounge with a curving full-length bar, an English conservatory, a great room that opens to courtyards and the pool area, a wine grotto, and a wellness studio with a racquet ball court are among the amenities.
