John Fogerty Gets $8 Million for Glammed-Up Encino Mansion (www.dirt.com)

He may never have actually lived there, and he certainly realized a significantly smaller windfall than originally hoped, but it seems legendary musician John Fogerty, now in his mid 70s, may have realized a small profit on the $7.975 million sale of a freshly rehabbed and bespokely appointed mansion in a coveted pocket of L.A.’s newly fashionable and, hence, increasingly expensive Encino community. That is, the prolific songwriter and Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman turned a profit if the improvement expenses, carrying costs and real estate fees don’t tally up to more than the $6.75 million he paid Hollywood producer Michael Sugar for the property in late 2018.
